Great reading! I enjoyed reading about the personnal experiences Terry encountered in his walk with God. There are many funny and sad stories he shares in his book from his life. He truly is an inspirational author. He is a "regular guy" making the same mistakes many of us have made in our own lives, but he always found his way back to God. I recommend this book!Product details

My Life Zero to Sixty Terry Bish 9780615339825 Books Reviews
Boring!
Cliche cover and stolen title (Gary Paulsen), uninteresting prose. It's not really a "Motorcycle Diary" but the cover tries to give that impression. On my Goodreads pages this book is found on the "Turd Heap" shelf where it belongs.
The author doesn't know the difference between telling a story (let alone a good story) and rambling on about random events from his life. His confessions of misdeeds and contrition sounds so blatantly insincere. He actually seems quite smug to me. But this is trait common to people of his ilk. From his lofty self-righteous station in life, he passes judgment on any number of folks from his past/present life. Bish is especially vicious about one character who was apparently emotionally scarred by being not very tall. The irony of it all is that his descriptions of the things he didn't like about the short character sound a lot like Bish himself, and he clearly doesn't see it himself.
The prose might have improved with a good editor. But frankly, a publishers editor would likely never have wasted any time with it. There is just no story here. Just a whole lot of self-congratulations by a wannabe celebrity from Nowheresville NY (my sincere apologies to Owego, a town I have visited often and doesn't deserve to be represented by Bish).
Despite his home town in Snow Capital USA, he has obviously never heard of Lake Effect (great book by that title too! See my review) and snow squalls. Not too inquisitive!
I paid $1.06 for the book from and I overpaid by a buck.
Terry was honest as he shares his life, ideas and values. I was moved as Terry unfolds Gods values and how he was able to look honestly at himself and change his life. Terry has a message of truth and hope. I reccomend this book.
