I really loved this book. It never dragged on and it was never boring. Callie met Reed when he was a prisoner and used him to have a baby in return for saving his life as he was about to be hung. She had a rough life constantly being used by men and to her having a baby would ensure no man would want to be with her so she could live peacefully and not get hurt again. She knew that Reed was the one man who she might have ever been able to depend on she would never see again. But, four years later they did meet again. They began to get to know each other and start a relationship only to encounter multiple problems such as an old friend who was desperate and would do anything to marry Callie and Reed encountering problems with the law. There were an unusual amount of grammatical errors and while annoying they did not really take away from the story any. In the beginning Callie had fears he might want to take their son away from her but that is simply historically inaccurate as unwed fathers didn't gain any legal standing until the time of the modern feminist movement in the 1970s. Historically speaking, the only thing a woman in her position would have to be afraid of would have been the townsfolk finding out the child wasn't her late husbands but instead was illegitimate as her reputation would be damaged. All in all, it was a good read. It was romantic, action filled and there was nothing really graphic, sexually explicit or offending in the book. A must read for anyone who loves a good action-filled historical romance.Product details

This book is a GREAT BOOK. I'm going to look for more books from Leigh,she is a good writer,this book kept me unto the book all time.
The story did not flow. It had too much action and then none at all. It was never proofed so there were a lot of typographical errors. The story was not even remotely believable and a bit of an insult to an adult reader.
A romance story that kept my interest. As I read, I kept trying to figure out what was happening, and this made it very interesting.
I enjoyed this book it was nice just a little long winded. But putting that aside it was a wonderful story.
Really enjoyed the story and characters, but the numerous typos were distracting and ruined the continuity for a good read. Hopefully someone can fix that for future readers.
WOW what a great book a must read if you believe in Love I really could not put it down I had to read it all in one day I had put everything of just to finish it. I fully recommend this book to everyone who loves a great story. Leigh I will be reading some more of your books you are another one of my best Authors that I have put down in my reading lists. I really wanted to like this book. In fact I do like this book, its a nice clean read with the exception of being way too long. It just got tiresome with so many similar incidents, it began to feel like a never ending story. What I did really love was the fact that Reed was a really decent man and there was no graphic sex scenes. The whole concept of the storyline was good but again way too long, I skipped over repeatedly, maybe a total of one third of this book. Would have been great if it was less.
